Live Show #12: The Casino Brawl & Heights

What a week! There aren't many places left on the Festival Chart, but the worthy Chart Toppers this week were undoubtedly Welwyn Garden City's Heights.

Despite a strong challenge from Scotland's Hello! Hello!, the two battled to the finish and Heights took the gold at the 4pm Monday cut off.

They’ll be joined by one of our favourite bands in the UK right now. The Casino Brawl who represent a burgeoning scene bursting out of the North East.

Which all means at 5pm on Monday 3rd May, Live Show #12 will feature the boys from The Casino Brawl on the sofa for a chat and – playing live from their bedroom in Welwyn Garden City – Heights.

Having A Brawl...

The boys from The Casino Brawl are currently hard at work on new material as well as tearing up the odd one-off show, but we tripped 'em up and sat 'em down for a chat to find out exactly how things were going, and of course to force them to take the How Rock N Roll Are You test!

And as per usual, there'll be a heap (seriously) of prizes to give away. They're promising signed copies of their debut, 'Shades: Directions', a pile of Brawl T-shirts and - for some reason - a toothbrush (you'll have to watch the Live Show interview to find out why!)

This Week’s Top Band

Heights are a tight-as-hell five-piece hardcore band from Welwyn Garden City. Conceived in 2009, the five have played show after show up and down the country, and digitally released 'The Land, The Ocean, The Distance' [Get it here in return for your email address] for free on 21st September last year.

We've heard it. It's good. Make sure you're watching their Bedroom Jam on Monday!

Here's a message from the band...

“We just want to say a huge thanks to anyone and everyone who helped us out over this past week to get to the top and then stay there! It means a lot to us that you all put so much time and effort into helping us out. Naming names would only end up in leaving someone out, so we will just say this... you all know who you are and thank you.

"Getting through has opened up a lot of exciting opportunities for us this year, so thank you also to Red Bull for that. But before all that comes the Bedroom Jam! We hope you enjoy watching us have the most fun we can in a bedroom with our clothes on."

5pm, Monday 3rd May. Tune in, Rock out
