Glaswegian quintet The Detours have become renowned for their dynamic live shows leaving many jaws on the floor and venues in their wake. Formed in 2006 and fronted by Danny Shah, one of the most charismatic vocalists on the scene, The Detours have combined energetic guitar riffs and soaring sing-a-long choruses to build an immense local fan base. The band have the pleasure of sharing the stage with many distinguished artists across the years including Pride Tiger, Bury Tomorrow and Slaves To Gravity to name but a few. The band made their television debut in November 2008 on the Channel 4 program "Orange Unsigned Act". They garnered a fantastic response from fans and judges alike. Then in June 2009, The Detours were crowned champions of Live & Unsigned, fighting off stiff competition from over 10,000 acts to secure a management deal with Future Music. Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale said of their presence at the Live and Unsigned Final: "It was an exuberant performance. The Un part will soon be a thing of the past.†And since winning, their fan base has exploded having been thrust into the industry spotlight as well as causing several high profile industry insiders to take note.
